Navigation Training Courses.

Anchor Training is a RYA Training Centre, recognised to run RYA shorebased navigation courses. The courses can be run at any appropriate venue, subject to approval.
We are also authorised to run the CEVNI test for people wishing to apply for the International Certificate of Competence (ICC) for use on inland waters.

This basic navigation course is aimed at anyone venturing onto coastal waters who do not have any other navigational qualifications. The course provides basic training in chart-work, using chart instruments, passage planning/pilotage and also introduces students to electronic navigation (chartplotters/GPS). The cost of the course will include the RYA student pack which contains all the basic equipment needed for this course.

For people wishing to use the inland waterways throughout Europe you will be required to have taken a CEVNI test. This test forms part of the ICC for both power and sail. Prior to booking a test you must be familiar with the European  Waterways Regulations (G17) as there is no tuition offered with this test paper.
